Cook Family Farms
home of the
Appoquinimink FFA Chapter
Welcome to Appoquinimink FFA!
We are an agricultural science program located in Middletown, DE. Our chapter has over 90 active students and two ag teachers.
Our students are developing their potential through agricultural education.
When the Spring Dairy Show got canceled this year, we and our friends at the Milford FFA Chapter got together to host our own show! A lot of work went into this event and getting the farm ready, but we were very excited to welcome over 50 youth exhibitors to our barn to host our first Battle for the Bell Dairy Invitational! We gave out lots of bells and hope to see everyone again next year.
We kick off the new school year with our mum and pumpkin sale. These hardy mums are grown local and will come back each year! This fundraiser benefits the FFA students and helps to cover costs for National Convention.
While we love our livestock, we also realize students are passionate about our plant and greenhouse pathway. Hosted around Mother's Day, we begin to sell plants and vegetables grown right in our greenhouse at school. We offer a variety of bedding plants, hanging baskets, planters, vegetables, herbs, and more!
